How it works
Document a split in about five minutes.
Collaborro turns a verbal agreement into a shared, timestamped record. You add who did what and their share, everyone confirms through a private link, and the record locks so it cannot be changed later.
It works for any creative project — a song, a podcast episode, a co-written chapter, an agency deliverable. Nothing here is music-specific.

01
Create a split
Give the project a title and, optionally, a type (music, writing, audio, other — it is only a label). The date is set automatically.
-
02
Add your contributors
For each person: their name, their contribution (picked from a list, such as lyrics, production, mixing or editing) and their percentage share. You also say whether the split covers the whole work, the master recording or publishing. A running total updates live and turns green only when it hits exactly 100%. You cannot send until it does.
-
03
Share the links
Each contributor gets a unique, unguessable link that you send them yourself. Collaborro never emails or messages them. No account required. They see the full split — every contributor, contribution and percentage.
-
04
Everyone confirms or flags
Each person either agrees to the split or flags a concern with a comment. A flag notifies you, leaves the split unlocked, and lets you edit and re-send. Confirmations are timestamped and the IP is logged for record integrity.
-
05
The split locks
Once every contributor has confirmed, the split becomes permanent — no edits, no reversals. A timestamped PDF with each person's digital signature and a unique reference number is generated, and every contributor receives a copy.
What Collaborro is not
It is not a contract generator, a payments or royalty platform, or a real-time co-editing tool. No money moves through Collaborro — it records the percentages everyone agreed to, and distribution stays with you and your platforms. See what a contribution split is for the background.
Common questions
How long does it take?
About five minutes to create a split and send it. After that it is down to how quickly your contributors click their confirmation links.
Do contributors need an account?
No. They confirm through a unique private link that the creator shares with them. Only the person creating the split needs an account.
What if the percentages don't add up to 100%?
Collaborro blocks sending until the total is exactly 100%. The live bar shows you how far off you are as you type.
Can I change a split after sending it?
Yes, until it locks. If someone flags a concern, or nobody has confirmed yet, you can edit contributors, contributions and percentages, then re-send.
What happens once it's locked?
Nothing more can change. Everyone gets a PDF with digital signatures, confirmation timestamps and a reference number, plus a read-only shareable link.
Is the locked record legally binding?
It is a documented agreement, not a contract. It is strong evidence of what everyone agreed to and when. For anything with significant money involved, get legal advice as well.
