Legal
Terms of Use
Last updated October 2026
By using Collaborro you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. They are written in plain English — we have tried to avoid legalese wherever possible.
1. What Collaborro is
Collaborro is a tool for documenting and confirming creative contribution agreements between collaborators. It creates a shared, timestamped record of what contributors agreed to — it is not a legal contract, a payments system, or a rights-management platform.
2. Not legal advice
Nothing on Collaborro constitutes legal advice. Records created on Collaborro may serve as evidence of intent but are not a substitute for a professionally drafted legal agreement. For collaborations involving significant commercial value, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified lawyer.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when registering. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Contributor links
Confirmation links are unique and private, and are shared with contributors by the person who created the split; Collaborro does not send them. Links expire 30 days after they are created. You must not share your confirmation link with others or use it on behalf of someone else. Confirming a split constitutes your agreement to the terms as displayed at the time of confirmation.
5. Immutability of locked splits
Once all contributors have confirmed a split, it becomes permanently locked. We will not alter, delete, or unlock a confirmed split except in response to a valid legal order. A locked split can be superseded by an amendment that every contributor confirms; the earlier version remains on record.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Collaborro to create records that are false, misleading, or fraudulent. You must not impersonate another person or use Collaborro to coerce contributors into confirming terms they have not agreed to. We may suspend any split, making it unavailable and refusing confirmations, while we review a report or suspected misuse, and we may close accounts that breach these terms.
7. Intellectual property
Collaborro does not claim any rights over the creative works referenced in your splits. All content you enter remains yours. We store it solely to provide the service.
8. Limitation of liability
Collaborro is provided "as is". We are not liable for any disputes arising between collaborators, for the enforceability of records in any jurisdiction, or for any losses resulting from use of the service.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify account holders by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
